An ongoing exploration with Rabbi Avraham Sutton
R' Sutton, who lives and teaches in Jerusalem, is probably best known for his work on Innerspace (He compiled, edited and annotated Innerspace — Introduction to Kabbalah, Meditation and Prophecy from transcripts of classes given by the late Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan. Since its publication in 1990, Innerspace continues to be considered one of the finest introductions to authentic Jewish mysticism in the English language. Subsequently, he edited the second volume of Rabbi Kaplan’s celebrated Handbook of Jewish Thought). Avraham draws his inspiration from the master prophets and sages of Israel, including: the Ari, Ramak, Alshich, Chesed Le'Avraham, Baal Shem Tov, Ramchal, Gaon of Vilna, Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, Leshem Sh'vo Ve'achlamah, Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Kook, Chafetz Chayim, and Ben Ish Chai, among others.
